Time to harvest the gifts of the summer and journey within.

In this shamanic exploration we’ll lie back and let the sounds carry us into a state of deep listening. A moment to rest after the outward movement of the summer. To let go of ordinary reality for a while and enter the dreaming. Sika holds a safe space to listen our inner guidance. You may bring a question or intention you're already working with. Or just an openness to journey. There is no goal as such, more a willingness to surrender.

About Sika’s Sound Journeys:

Sika plays intuitively from an enchanting collection of natural instruments. He also moves around the space while playing so you may feel the vibration of the didgeridoo or a swoosh of leaves on your skin.

His ancient sounds include several didgeridoos, drums, native flutes and rattles... as well as foraged objects such as leaves, stones, bones and shells… plus nature recordings from the Australian and New Zealand bush. The haunting 'voices' of unfamiliar instruments such as Aztec whistles and Māori Taonga pūoro add to the sense of mystery and help us enter meditative, wordless states.

Sika has been offering Sound Journeys for over 25 years and has the blessing of many Maori, Native American and Aboriginal elders, including the Yuin tribe of South Australia.

There will be two journeys with an interval in between, giving you time to move and stretch.

If you’d prefer to sit or stand, that’s fine too! Sound Journeys are open to everyone - consider yourself welcome.

You can learn more about Sika on his website: https://sikamusic.com. Sika’s Sound Journey CDs will be available to buy on the night.
