At Riverside Centre

We explore mindfulness through games, imaginative story, music, song and where possible contact with nature. We work with all the dimensions of being, body, emotions, thinking and good heart to help children and families connect to their own capacity for calm, confidence and creativity.

Outcomes of the course: - Increased calm and confidence - Joy and building connections with self and family - Planting seeds for emotional well-being, empathy and heart-full listening - Movement to embody mindfulness

Why we request a parent to come along? For these seeds to take root, mindfulness needs to become a part of the family. Small routines that are easy, natural and centering. Our experience is that parents benefit greatly from the course, simple reminders about how to be present, calm and live well in a sometimes busy and stressful world.

"It has been a real fun, hands-on expiration for me and my daughter to connect to ourselves and each other. Highly recommended and I would like to join assembler workshop again. Thank you for this information packed full for workshop. I got so much out of it as a parent and primary school teacher." Melanie (mother) and Malia (Child) November 2018.
