Joinery

Located in the yard next to Che’s Art Gallery and opposite of Riverside's milk vending shed is a large workshop with professional saws, sanders, thicknesser, lathe and various other tools for working wood.  There are stacks of wood, the smell of sawdust, and projects in various stages of completion.

The joinery has had a number of uses over the years, from processing wood from Riverside land, to being rented out to furniture makers and being used as a workshop space for the Trust's education programme.

It is currently being used by the maintenance team at Riverside for a variety of projects needed by the buildings and businesses on site, with an eye towards developing some items that may be the basis of stock to make and sell.

Outside projects are sometimes taken on, as time permits.
