Summer Time Cheese: Mozzarella Workshop

Organised by Riverside Education

With Tanja Pauls

Monday, 15th February, 6.30pm - 7.30pm

$20 per person. Limited to 12 participants.

Registrations essential: education@riverside.org.nz

At Riverside Centre (Kitchen)

In this short and sweet session with Tanja in the kitchen, participants will learn how to make two different variations of mozzarella: one for pizza and general baking/melting and one for salads and other fresh dishes.

This is a very hands on workshops that can be quite messy - and heaps of fun ;)

A good thing about making mozzarella is: it's easy. Even better: It's fast! But best of all: home made mozzarella is delicious and much closer to the original than anything you can buy at the shops. Give it a go - you won't look back ;)

This workshop is proudly sponsored by the Riverside Community Trust. Please contact Tanja (education@riverside.org.nz) to discuss sponsorship options if you are struggling to meet the workshop fee.

Please note that we will be using Riverside Milk which is RAW milk and may not be suitable for everyone's consumption. The Ministry of Primary Industries advises the following: ‘Raw milk may contain microorganisms that can causeserious illness. To reduce the risk of illness, raw milk should be heated to at least 70 degree Celsius for one minute. This is critical for infants, young children, the elderly, pregnant women and people with weakened immune systems.’
