About the Event
Acrylic Pouring is a fascinating fluid painting technique. It is based on acrylic paint, which can be brought into a liquid, pourable consistency by adding a pouring medium and other additives as required.
Depending on the technique, this liquefied paint is poured into each other or tilted onto the canvas and distributed by tilting the painting surface. Different effects are created depending on the choice of paint, the medium, and the additives.
You don’t need any previous drawing or painting skills for the acrylic flow technique. The colours and patterns are often stunning and always unique.
In this complete beginner workshop, we will dilute and mix the paint in little cups to pour over a canvas, followed by a finishing technique that uses straws to further mix and distribute the paint.
Each participant will go home with their own one-of-a-kind piece of art.
This session is creative, 100% hands-on and possibly very messy. Please keep in mind that we will be working with acrylic paints that, in most cases, do not wash out of clothes.
For kids 5 – 18 years old. Children under 8 must bring an adult to actively work beside them. Limited to 12 children.
Please note: this workshop will be held outside and may have to be postponed in the case of rain or heavy wind.
This workshop is proudly sponsored by the Riverside Community Trust. Please contact Tanja at email@example.com to discuss sponsorship options if you are struggling to meet the workshop fee or to enquire about more info.
