About the Event

Come and spend a couple of hours bonding with one of your favourite young people during the school holidays, exploring a new tactile craft that you may not have had the opportunity to experience.

Spring is the perfect time to think about seedlings and plants. And what are you going to put them in? Home-made clay plant pots are beautiful and make a great eco-friendly addition to your house – or a lovely gift for a friend.

Children especially love the physical-sensual-mental experience of squeezing, pinching and shaping a piece of wet clay into something funny, interesting or beautiful. It is such a gentle process that is grounding and calming as well as stimulating and inspiring.

Tanja will help participants in this beginner-level pottery workshop to gain a feel for the clay, create a simple plant pot and personalise it. Each piece is unique, and the time spent making it…
