About the Event

For those that have missed the first sourdough workshop, make sure you get a spot this time around and let's bake! Sourdough baking doesn't have to be complicated!

'Most people that have been to my workshops have had tried sourdough baking and have given up because they couldn't fit it into their routine. I want everyone to learn and enjoy baking bread without feeling overwhelmed.' (Adriana)

Adriana is a Pastry chef by trade and her sourdough journey has started about 5years ago as a part of her path to improve her diet and healthy eating habits. In 2019, she's started a micro bakery in the North West coast of Tasmania selling mostly sourdough baked goods to restaurants, cafes, health shops and at the weekly farmers markets. Within a month from her first market stall, she was making and selling over 120kg of dough, all made by hand using the traditional way of sourdough bread.

Due to the current situation, Adriana and her partner decided to move back to NZ to be close to their family and friends and she is bringing her passion for health and food to our community. 'I feel blessed to be part of this great community and hopefully will get as many people as I can to learn about this amazing food made with just flour+water+salt and a touch of love🙏 Healthy Happy baking everyone 😊'

So book your spot and come and join Adriana for some tips and tasty samples. Please bring a small glass jar if you like to take some starter home to start baking your own artisan sourdough bread.

Limited to 12 participants.

This workshop is proudly sponsored by the Riverside Community Trust. Please contact Tanja (education@riverside.org.nz) to discuss sponsorship options if you are struggling to meet the workshop fee or to enquire about more info.
