'Hi, I'm Barbara.

For a while now I've been feeling this little — and sometimes not-so-little — urge, longing, tingling to create again. To make something with other people. To explore stories, ideas, bodies, words, questions, frustrations, dreams and see what happens when they meet.

My background is in acting and theatre. I studied acting and then went on to do four years of weekly training to become a theatre teacher. Along the way, I've worked with all kinds of groups and ages — with children, young people and adults, as well as professional theatre groups. I love creating spaces where people can experiment, discover something unexpected and bring their own perspective into the process.

I love collaboration. I love the way personal stories, feminist perspectives, critiques of the systems we live within, and all the strange and beautiful things that make up our individual lives can flow…
