About the Event
Would you like to learn more about how to graft fruit trees?
Learn how to create your own with this short course; learn how to select scion and rootstock, cut and join, and care for them. Get to know about different methods, the situations to use them, and techniques applicable to various species. Grafting fruit trees is the only sure way to grow those desired traits in the fruits you love. And there's nothing quite as unique as a plant you've grown yourself.
While Che is mostly known for his bonsai, his horticultural knowledge and prowess extend to large trees, too. He is all about grafting, pruning, shaping, and understanding how a tree will respond.
This is a practical, hands-on guide to grafting. Although you will be working with apples on the day, the techniques covered are applicable to other species as well.
Che will explain the fundamentals of grafting:
