About the Event
This two day Contemporary Felt Making Workshop is an opportunity to extend your individual creativity by applying design principles to your work.
Saturday, 18th September, 10am to 4pm AND Sunday, 19th September, 9.30am to 3.30pm.
Colleen will guide you on how to enhance your ideas by applying colour and using the techniques of resists, inlays or embellishments to create texture into the structure of the felt. You will be able to choose your colours from a generous selection of hand-dyed merino wool and luxury silk fabrics and fibres.
The focus will be to create a wall piece of your own composition that is meaningful to you. There may also be an opportunity to try other ideas and techniques including three-dimensional felt making.
If you are ready to be challenged and inspired then this workshop with give you an insight into what makes your work unique.
At the end of this small group workshop, you will have a finished piece for your interior along with many ideas for future projects.
