About The Gong

The gong has been an integral part of various activities for centuries, ranging from the mundane to the spiritual. In Buddhist monasteries, gongs serve as a call to the divine. In Borneo, they are played to dispel storms. Throughout southeast Asia, the sounding of the gong accompanies pivotal life events, including births, deaths, and marriages.

Beyond its role as a musical instrument, the gong functions as an agent of transformation, influencing the body, mind, and spirit when played. The resonant sound of the gong envelops the listener, much like a wave, and transports them on a journey, evoking the ebb and flow of the ocean. As the sound reverberates, it stimulates cellular activity within the body, akin to an internal massage. This phenomenon generates limitless vibration, creating light and, by extension, life itself. The complex synthesis of overtones produced by the gong enables listeners to develop a novel approach to auditory perception. Its unpredictable nature bypasses the human mind, rendering it impossible to categorize. Consequently, deep relaxation is achieved as the thinking mind is deactivated, allowing individuals to reconnect with their core being and, ultimately, their soul. This experience is deeply nurturing and rejuvenating, profoundly impacting one's entirety.

Mariana uses various instruments to create a unique experience. The gong, together with crystal alchemy singing bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, tuning forks and many other ancient instruments create a immersive soundscape and take the listener on a journey to recalibrate and reconnect with body, mind and spirit. This provides deep rest and rejuvenation.
