Storyteller Comes To Town!

With Nilguen Yalay

Sunday, 18th February, 7pm

At Riverside Centre

$10

Nilguen Yalay is a naturally talented and passionate storyteller from Purau Bay on Banks Peninsula. She has recently quit her job as a Hospice Grief Counsellor to re-connect with her first love of the Theater and traveling. Nilguen travels around NZ in her motor home which is romantically called " Gypsy Rose" and visits smaller communities where she loves to connect with locals by "telling a good yarn".

Quite a few ( but not all ) of her stories are from Clarissa Pincola Estes' book " Women Who Run with Wolves " where the return to a women's true ( soul! ) nature is often at the core of the tale. Nilguen easily combines her love of storytelling with her trained skills as Group Facilitator, always aiming to involve her audience. Although most of the stories are based around a woman's transition and development, they are easily transferable to men as they predominately speak of the human need to stay connected to the Soul!

Nilguen's opening performance will be hosted at Riverside Community in Lower Moutere on Sunday, 18/2/2018 at 7 pm. $ 10 for contribution and to keep Gypsy Rose on the road.
