Several Times a Month - Each Month for a Whole Year!
Affordable Workshops exclusively for Kids
Organised by Riverside's Education Programme from the Riverside Community Trust Board (RCTB)
Run by Experienced and Exceptionally Awesome Tutors
We have some exciting news here at Riverside; starting in September, we will expand the educational purpose of the Trust by offering an extensive kids program that is focused on empowering children by encouraging creativity, developing problem solving skills and fostering self esteem through a diverse range of co-operative learning opportunities.
In other words: heaps of fun to be had!!!
The topics for these workshops are the result of a questionnaire sent out to local children and their parents in July.
Our tutors are all passionate about their work and keen to pass their skills on to local children. We are exceptionally fortunate to have the following tutors confirmed: Sebastian George, James Alker (Wilderness Canoe Trust), Jamie Howell, Kellie McNeil, Franka Haeussner, Tanja Pauls, Piers Throsall, Arran de Leeuw, Seija McIntosh, Wiremu Sarewich, Murray Irvine, Rob de Leeuw, Verena Gruner & Kristina Jensen!
See below for a first glimpse of what the program is going to look like - and keep tuning in for more details as we move through the year. We are hoping that some of the sessions - including all of the September workshops - will lead into regular (weekly or forthnightly) courses or groups - so please be sure to register your interest even if you cannot make it to the innitial date.
We would like it to be accessible to all families and have set low fees (Around $5). However, if finances are a barrier to your child attending, please get in touch with Tanja.
In any case, registration is necessary : Tanja Pauls 5267489 or e-mail (preferred) education@riverside.org.nz
