From the organisers of this event, Jenny Wilke and Jenny Rahman:
'Our care and concern for humanity have inspired us to run a peace event on the 19th of July in the Riverside Centre. One of the regions in the world that currently needs a lot of support for peace is Israel/Palestine.
Our initiative ‘Falafel for Peace’ brings a dish to the table that everybody in that part of the world likes and claims as part of their own culture. Let’s share this wonderful food, feelings, thoughts, and ideas about coming together and creating peace.
We will have the special opportunity to meet one of the leading peace activists from Israel/Palestine online and get to know her project, ‘Lumiflies Hope Incubator’. All the proceeds of the evening will be donated to this initiative and to the "Adam Institute for Democracy and Peace", which has been doing incredible work for decades now.
We want to listen, understand, eat, connect, and try ways of nourishing peace in ourselves and our communities.
Please come and bring friends and family! Thank you for your support!
If you want to bring children under 12, please contact us. We'll try to organise a kids' peace space.

Thank you for organising such an important event. Unfortunately I will be away but sharing this with my friends and community. Good luck! Dhara Vistara.co.nz
