Sika is a sound artist from Takaka, Golden Bay. His national tour of New Zealand included an incredible 24 locations, from Dunedin to Whangarei, all of which were full houses.

Don't miss this if you have already experienced a Sika Sound Journey! Popular opinion shows clearly that they have changed and are now even more powerful.

He has performed worldwide for over 30 years and is highly recognised for his unique sound journeys. Sika has recorded eleven solo albums and played on numerous collaborative projects.

The didgeridoo forms an important foundation for his music, alongside drums, native flutes, voice and natural instruments. Other sounds such as water, fire, trees, animals and wind are skillfully added to the mix and, together with loops and Sika's orchestrated compositions, build soundscapes that enable us to enter a deep state akin to meditation.

Sika has recorded eleven solo albums and played on numerous collaborative projects. This performance is something between an ancient ceremony and a movie soundtrack. Don't miss this incredible opportunity to experience Sika live.

"I'm stoking the fires of my creativity. Inspired by the music and stories of my ancestors and the gods, I have reshaped my performance into a new Sound Journey. I feel like the wheel has gone full circle and I have returned home to where it all began.” Sika

Please bring a yoga mat, blanket and cushion.
