Riverside Sojourn provides you with two comfortable and tranquil self-contained studios 7 minutes drive from Motueka. Located within New Zealand's Riverside Community and close to the beautiful Abel Tasman and Kahurangi National Parks, you can choose between two spacious units with balconies.

 

Both spaces are equipped with complete kitchens, private bathrooms and entrances. The Kereru Studio can accommodate up to 4 adults (between $120/night and $140/night), and larger groups can easily fit into the Tui Studio Plus (between $120/night and $240/night) which sleeps up to 10 guests  in total. 

 

Tasman's Great Taste Bike Trail is right outside your door and waiting to be explored. If you are travelling with children, you can watch them run around the  park-like grounds of the community and have fun on the nearby adventure playground. Daily fresh milk, straight from our Riverside Dairy Farm is also just a few steps away. 

 

Riverside Sojourn offers ideal accommodation options for families, friends and large groups keen to explore the Tasman region or needing a rest for a night or two before commencing the journey to other far away places.

Riverside Hostel is an alcohol and smoke free*, eco-friendly  space in the middle of New Zealand's oldest intentional community and offers affordable accommodation throughout the year for travelers of all ages.

 

Close to Abel Tasman and Kahurangi National Parks, the hostel is a quiet backpackers in Riverside's village-like setting with Tasman's Great Taste Cycle Trail and many beautiful beaches, valleys and rivers nearby. If you are after a little welllness break, there is even the possibilty to participate in yoga, tai-chi and other holistic classes which are offered daily in the neighbouring Cultural Centre. 

 

You can choose between fully-furnished, heated Single Bedrooms ($40/night or $200/week) or Twin Bedrooms ($50/night or $280/week). All have access to free wifi, a shared kitchen, common lounge area and shared bathroom facilities with washing machine. A pleasant outside kitchen, seating and lawn area make the space a cozy spot to read a book or engage with other hostel guests. 

 

Riverside Hostel is ideal for travellers looking for an eco-friendly, tranquil Hostel in a unigue setting. You are also welcome to stay here if you want to experience community life as a volunteer or learn more about Riverside's rich history.

Find some great pieces from local artists and artisans alike. The nearby Che Vincent Gallery showcases sculptures, wall panels and light installations by the artist Che Vincent who also designed and landscaped the huge succulent collection on display at the Cafe. In addition, Che is also a keen Bonsai Artist and some of his trees are available for sale at the Riverside Cafe. Find out more about Che Vincent.

Weekly wellness classes, as  well as one-off workshops, concerts and public talks are happening at the Riverside Centre all throughout the year and you are welcome to join in or book the venue for your own functions. Across the driveway from your studio: Riverside Community Cultural Centre
