Join Jo for weekly Vinyasa Flow Yoga classes. Vinyasa is, connection of breath and movement. In Vinyasa Flow Yoga, each movement is synchronized to a breath, flowing from one pose to the next.
The first half of the class we practice round after round of Sun Salutations, holding a variety of low lunges, high lunges and Warrior poses within them. The lungs, digestive system, muscles and joints will all benefit from Sun Salutations. This practice also increases the vital energy in your body which helps to remove energy blockages. It is a good cardiovascular exercise benefiting the whole body.
After a short rest we then come down to the floor to practice a variety of floor poses including; twists, forward bends, inversions, back bends and core work. The class is concluded with a 10 minute guided relaxation, where all your stretching, strengthening and detoxifying will integrate into your body.
You will hopefully leave the class feeling energized but calm, relaxed and focused.
