The currently closed Riverside Hostel reopens in September as an eco-friendly, smoke and alcohol free property. In line with Riverside Community's values and our declaration of a Climate Emergency, the hostel will provide guests affordable accommodation based on environmentally-friendly initiatives, sustainable practices, and community involvement.
Our Hostel Management will actively implement methods for reducing waste, decreasing the property’s carbon footprint, and encouraging sustainability awareness. Hostel guests will be welcome to partake in Community events and join into the many classes and workshops which are offered daily in our Cultural Centre.
With the Great Taste Cycle Trail just outside the door and so many attractive options for nature lovers nearby, our Riverside Hostel is offering eco-conscious travellers a well located and affordable green space right in the centre of NZ’s oldest intentional Community.
