Marzipan is a traditional European confection - made from almonds, rose water and honey, similar in texture to fondant - but much superior in taste. It is fun and easy to make and lends itself to hours of textile fun; kneading, shaping and decorating.
Kids will enjoy popping the almonds out of their little brown jackets, kneading the marzipan, and of course creating all kinds of creatures or other shapes with it.
This workshop is proudly sponsored by the Riverside Community Trust. Please contact Tanja (education@riverside.org.nz) to discuss sponsorship options if you are struggling to meet the workshop fee.
