Here's a chance to spend quality time with a favorite young person by trying a new hands-on bookbinding activity. Whether you're interested in creating a personal notebook, a gift, a diary, a recipe book, a drawing compilation, or a photo album, this workshop offers a creative outlet.

Participants will learn three bookbinding methods, including saddle stitch and Japanese Stab, suitable for all skill levels. Work together to design and craft your own personalised booklets with a variety of colorful and white papers and cards. Jenny, an experienced guide, will assist you in making design choices and executing your plans.

The workshop is for beginners, entirely hands-on but not messy, promoting creativity and practical skills development.

Depending on the weather, it will take place at either Komitimiti Café or Riverside Centre.

All necessary materials are provided, but you are welcome to bring personal items like drawings, letters, recipes, or special photos to incorporate into your project. Whether starting from scratch or adding a personal touch, this event is perfect for anyone eager to connect with their child while learning a pretty special craft in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Limited to 7 adult-child pairs. $29 per pair Bookings are essential and close Friday, 17th April at 2pm. Book Now

This workshop series is proudly sponsored by the Riverside Community Trust. Please contact Tanja (at education@riverside.org.nz) for workshop questions or to ask about sponsorship options.
