This is a course that started last month - but you don't need any experience to join! Life drawing serves as a practice for artists, honing skills in observation, proportion, and anatomical precision, essential for grasping the nuances of the human form. We're thrilled to introduce you to life drawing through a workshop conducted by Miriam Vincent, a passionate local artist. Miriam believes in incorporating play and exploration into art.

Join us in this engaging introduction to life drawing, where you can explore the art of capturing the human figure using straightforward and enjoyable techniques with a live model (the model will be clothed). The workshop comprises a series of classes that build upon each other, making attendance at all sessions beneficial. However, if you have scheduling conflicts, you are welcome to attend one or two sessions by contacting Tanja at education@riverside.org.nz.

Participants will primarily use pencils, charcoal, and pastels to portray movement, form, and contrast. However, feel free to bring your preferred medium.

No prior experience is needed to participate.

Limited to 10 participants, 15 years and older. $120 total for all four sessions per person (or $35 per person per session). Bookings essential and close Friday, 5th September at 2pm. Book Now
