After a successful term of theatre classes, Barbara is back and offering more! So register all your young creative performers. Please note the slight change in age: regular theatre classes for kids aged 7 to 9.

Term 2 proved that the continuity of a regular group opens the door to more in depth exploration of concepts and a larger variety of games and themes. Children formed relationships and gained more confidence in expressing themselves in the circle of familiar faces.

The classes use Jeux Dramatique, a form of improvisational theatre without a performance goal. Children use colourful cloth props to create their own environments and can act out various roles from stories read aloud. This approach encourages limitless imagination and explores social roles.

The classes include short relaxation exercises and fun games, fostering deep exploration of concepts, diverse themes, and stronger group relationships. Kids will gain confidence expressing themselves amidst familiar faces.

Barbara studied acting and theatre pedagogy in Berlin and has experience working with diverse groups, including children in holiday programs. Now living in Mahana with her family, she also teaches antenatal classes and works as a doula.

Please dress your children in neutral clothes, ideally plain colours.
