Fundraiser for Riverside Cafe Collective
After the recent closure of Riverside Café, a group of like-minded locals have a vision to co-create a venue, with and for our wider community that serves as a space for connection and collaboration. They want to create a different culture - one that nourishes both body and soul, builds community and promotes resilient, sustainable systems.
This is a really exciting, evolving project and this concert is part of the collective's fundraining efforts.
Over the next few months, the collective will be running a series of fundraising events that promise to be diverse, fun and full of connection.
Here is what else is going to happen in September at Riverside Café:
- Every Friday from the 8th of September onwards:
The Café will be open for lunch and dinner, coffee and baking from 11 am to 9 pm. Come and enjoy the simple meals of the day, relax, unwind and connect. Wholesome, delicious food and drinks at affordable prices for everyone. There will also be some low-key activities such as games and crafts, talks and more (ideas are always welcome).
- Sunday the 3rd of September from 3 pm:
Our first fundraising community gathering.
We will have beautifully created affordable kai and drinks, live music, and games.
All welcome any time from 3pm.
- Sunday 10th of September from 6 pm (see poster below):
Music, munchies and movie!
At 6 pm , our local world music choir InAccord will sing a few songs for you, followed by supper.
$15, everyone welcome.
- Saturday 16th of September from 7 pm:
Family friendly quizz night.
Entry by koha.
- Saturday 30th of September, 4 pm:
Make your own mozzarella - and eat it , too!
Verena and Tanja will take you through the process of making mozzarella - and then we will all have pizza together.
$40 per person, bookings essential for this one .
