Join our fun, interactive workshop where beginners and food lovers can learn how to make tasty plant-based cheeses. You’ll get hands-on practice in the basics of vegan cheese-making, using simple, wholesome ingredients such as nuts, plant milks, and plant-based cultures.

During the session, you’ll try different techniques to create a range of cheeses, including a cultured cream cheese, a melt-in-your-mouth mozzarella, a bloomy camembert, and a rich aged-style option.

We’ll cover ingredient substitutions, storage tips, and creative ways to personalise your recipes with herbs and spices. By the end, you’ll feel confident to make vegan cheese at home and experimenting with your own flavour combinations.

All ingredients and equipment are provided, and you’ll enjoy a tasting of every cheese with crackers, fresh vegetables, and seasonal accompaniments. You’ll also receive complete recipes with step-by-step instructions and troubleshooting guidance.

Limited to 8 participants. Bookings are essential and close Wednesday, 16th September, at 2pm. Book Now.

This workshop is proudly sponsored by the Riverside Community Trust. Please contact Tanja (at education@riverside.org.nz) for workshop questions or to ask about sponsorship options.
